Mrs. Sree Lakshmi
I am a morning assistant teacher at MLC. I began my teaching in 2005. I was born in the Republic of India and later moved to the United States to join my family. I am married and have a grown son named Krishna who is 25 and a student at the University. I am delighted to be a part of the MLC staff and truly enjoy working with the children. I share the same principles as the other teachers which is to provide an environment that facilitates intellectual development for all students. I was fortunate to have been provided with a good education from India and spent 3 years at the University. I am hoping to begin my Montessori Training in January 09. My other interests are: gardening, child development, exercise and cooking.

Mrs. Briana Cousins
Mrs. Briana Cousins is beginning her first year teaching at MLS as one of the afternoon teachers.  Originally from Huntsville , Mrs. Cousins received her B.S. degree in Business in 1999 from the University of North Alabama.  When working in Birmingham, she received her MBA in 2005 from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.  While continuing to work remotely for her Birmingham employer, Mrs. Briana Cousins moved back to Huntsville in 2006.  At that time she became part of a wonderful family when she married her husband Chris and his two amazing children.  Life experiences and an inspiring family lead Mrs. Cousins to evaluate her life goals.  Passionate about child education and development she decided to make a transition back to her original area of interest – early childhood education.  Mrs. Briana Cousins began volunteering for MLS in early 2009.  Enthusiastic to work with children while utilizing the Montessori philosophy, she began working at MLS in October of 2009. She has completed her training to receive her Montessori Certification in Early Childhood Education. Along with spending time with her family, she enjoys working out and reading.
